A Haven for the homeless

Home

Our mission is to help all animals live a life true to their being, in which they are respected, loved and nurtured.

Welcome to our website!  We are a rescue that takes in neglected, abused and unwanted animals from various animal control facilities and shelters with high rates of euthanasia.  Our primary focus is on rottweilers as they are our first love and have been apart of our lives for 14 years.  We are a group of volunteers whose purpose is to protect and care for these animals until suitable homes can be found for them.  We work with other like-minded organizations to help in the placement of abandoned animals.

We foster animals in our homes until they are adopted.  We do not take owner surrenders.  We only take animals that are homeless.  Most of our dogs come from animal control facilities and shelters where they will be euthanized due to lack of space, or due to their breed like rottweilers.

Many older dogs are the first to be put down when there is insufficient space, because most people are interested in young dogs. These mature dogs can make wonderful companions as they still have a lot of love and life in them!  They are usually well trained, calm and past the stage of chewing and destroying things.

We have self-funded our rescue work for many years and continue to do so.  Rescue work can be very expensive due to the high cost of veterinary care, and the feeding of all the animals.  All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped and more before placement.  We do not receive federal, city or state funding to help care for the animals.

If you would like to make a donation of money or food and supplies to help us continue to help these animals, your support would be greatly appreciated!

                         Thank You!

Text Box: Myth Buster

Don’t be fooled into thinking that animal shelters and pet rescues are filled with dogs or cats that were discarded because they are “bad”. Shelter pets for adoption are wonderful companions who became the victims of family tragedy, unlucky circumstances or irresponsible owners.
