If you talk with the animals they will talk with you and you will know each other. If you do not talk to them, you will not know them, and what you do not know, you will fear. What one fears one destroys.

Tracy has dedicated part of her rescue efforts to taking care of elderly rottweilers and those who have terminal illnesses that would otherwise be euthanized do to un-adoptability. They will get to spend the remainder of their lives, however short, in a loving, caring environment while making them as comfortable and pain-free as possible. |
|
This is me and Emma. She was the first terminally ill dog we took in. She was abandoned by her owner, who probably just used her for breeding. She was very overweight and had a severe mammary gland infection, which turned out to be breast cancer, and it also had spread to her lungs.

She was such a wonderful being who lived her final weeks to the fullest. She loved to be outside smelling everything and laying out by the barn and watching the cows, goats and chickens. Sneaking a bite of a cow pie was especially tasty to her!
We were blessed by her presence for 6 weeks. She changed my life and I decided to help other dogs like her spend the remainder of their life in a loving, caring environment instead of dying alone and in pain in some place they didn’t deserve. |

Cain Hi, my name is Cain. I am a goof ball, mostly because I have dementia, but what do you expect from a guy who is 12 years old?
I came from Kentucky and was going to be put to sleep due to lack of space at a kill shelter. |
|
I came in as a stray and my owners decided they didn’t want me anymore. I couldn’t walk too well when I got here, my nails were so long and I had muscle loss from not getting enough exercise, spent too much time in a kennel.
Now I am at Rescued Paws living the good life. I am heartworm positive and am too old and not well enough to survive the treatment. I am on Heartgard, pain meds for arthritis and immune support formulas.
I love to carry my toys around and go for walks. I am strong enough to go bouncing around and fly up and down the stairs now! |
